Herculaneum & Vesuvius

This morning we visited the Herculaneum Archaeological Site, another city preserved by an eruption of Vesuvius. After a group lunch at a restaurant part way up we climbed to the summit of Mt Vesuvius. Our hike was the equivalent of climbing 60 flights of stairs but the view from 1300 metres above the Bay of Naples was most definitely worth it.
