Obersalzburg and Bechtesgaden

This morning we ventured back across the border into Germany to Obersalzburg. Hitler spent more than a third of his time in power in Obersalzburg. We visited the remnants of his former residence there as well as the bunker system. After a tour of the museum there we enjoyed a lunch in the idyllic Bavarian town Bechtesgaden perched in the mountains beneath Obersalzburg before returning to Salzburg for some shopping, coffee and strudel.
